The compact design of the compacting system allows its application in collecting points where space is limited. Traversing static compactors are available for sites that are restricted on space, for compactors that need to be positioned in areas where a vehicle can not connect the container and for sites that need to have no down time or don't want to be reliant on the reliability of collecting waste vehicles.

Compact and Bale's recent installation for Kent Country Council & Balfour Beatty saw our business supply a conveyor system which runs when waste vehicles tip their food waste on to the belt. The waste runs in to the large enclosed hopper which is compacted in to containers. This particular traversing system was installed to minimise downtime and allow for a quick turn around by ensuring the vehicle can easily can access to connect the container.

Lifting the bin from the ground during the compaction cycle avoids damage to the bin wheels and base. The operator is kept safe with a two hand control.

Models can be supplied with optional galvanizing for all weather use and washing down.
