Our rewound coils of Baling wire come in 2.8mm and 3.1mm diameter.
This wire is suited for our two largest Strautmann machines.
- The GigaBaler® uses the 3.1mm wire
- The BaleTainer® uses the 2.8mm wire
Available to purchase in 20kg and 40kg bundles, this wire is sold on a 1-tonne mixed pallet. The pallet contains 18 x 20kg bundles and 16 x 40kg bundles.
Why have two different coils of wire weights?
- The 40kg bundles are fitted low down on the machine to reduce lifting risk. These get used for 2⁄3 of the wire around each bale.
- The 20kg bundles are fitted on top of the machine as they can be lifted safely. These get used for 1⁄3 of the wire around each bale.
In theory, the bundles would get changed at more or less the same time.
With one set of wires, containing 8 coils, and based on a bale length of 1.4m, you can tie up to 210 bales.
Above all, our wire has been manufactured to be flexible whilst maintaining its high tensile strength. It is also oiled to allow for a smoother feed.
