Compactors
By compacting waste you will reduce its volume to a ratio of up to 10:1. This makes it more viable to transport to landfill sites, materials recycling facilities and other disposal points. The compacted waste is fully enclosed inside a steel container, which can’t be accessed by vermin or birds and it is not susceptible to wind scatter problems. Using a compactor ensures a tidy work environment and improved site appearance, this is particularly important for modern factory estates, shopping centres and hospitals. There are two types of compactors, static or portable. In the UK static compactors have traditionally outsold portables by around 3:1 but over the last few years there has been a significant swing towards portable compactors, a trend which we expect to continue.
