By compacting waste you will reduce its volume to a ratio of up to 10:1. This makes it more viable to transport to landfill sites, materials recycling facilities and other disposal points. The waste is fully enclosed inside a steel container, which can’t be accessed by vermin or birds and it is not susceptible to wind scatter problems.
Using a compactor ensures a tidy work environment and improved site appearance, this is particularly important for modern factory estates, shopping centres and hospitals. There are two types of compactors, static and portable. In the UK static machines have traditionally outsold portables by around 3:1 but over the last few years there has been a significant swing towards portables, a trend which we expect to continue.
Durapac compactors comply with all CE requirements and are manufactured to the highest standards. With their heavy duty construction, large feed aperture, fast cycle time and the highest compaction force in their class, they will out perform and out last all others.
